We loved it and were so excited when he graciously accepted our offer to chat about it online from his home in London! Richard grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon, before studying English at the University of Sheffield. He now lives in London, where he works as an editor. He has published four previous books of literary fiction, including Rust and Bone, which was the inspiration for a Golden Globe–nominated feature film of the same name; the Scotiabank Giller Prize–nominated novel Cataract City; and the novel The Saturday Night Ghost Club, which was a finalist for the Rogers Writers Trust Fiction Prize and our selection for this fall's book discussion.. Crime novels are some of our favorites, and we were delighted to spend an evening chatting with author Stephen Mack Jones. He is the creator of the crime/mystery series August Snow. August is a witty, ex-detective/ex Marine, who searches for truth and justice for victims in the city of Detroit. She is a frequent host of The Moth live shows and has told several stories on The Moth Radio Hour and NPR’s Snap Judgment. Mary Calvi: Joined us on Wednesday, February 19th at 7pm as we welcomed her as the CBS2 This Morning co-anchor. Mary Calvi discussed her book Dear George, Dear Mary: A Novel of George Washington's First Love. She is an American television journalist and author and the recipient of ten Emmy Awards. Calvi's book is available on Libby, Overdrive and Hoopla!
